Difficult terrain and threats, such as ambushes and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) can make ground-based transportation to and from the frontline a dangerous challenge. While helicopters can easily bypass those problems, they often present logistical challenges of their own. Additionally, they are expensive to operate and the supply of available helicopters cannot always meet the demand for their diverse operational services.


Example tasks of the JLTA: Cargo resupply, casualty evacuation (CASEVAC), and intelligence, military aerial hyperspectral monitoring, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR).


In 2012 DiNelly started secretly with the implementation of a cost-effective military and civilian multirole aircraft. In the beginning the civilian aerial sensing platform developed the Dinelly eXoGyro system. Followed by the most modern and luxurious civilian recreational gyrocopter the SuperGyro. At the same time, the implementation of the JLTA - Joint Light Tactial Airvehicle was started in secret by the requirements of international military forces. Due to the high demands on flight performance, DiNelly forced the development of powerful power units in cooperation with the engine OEM´s especially for military use in the JLTA, which still have stable performance curves even in altitudes of 7,000 meters. As a result, the TruboProp drive with 260shp and 810 Nm torque was presented at the beginning of 2017.


In order to be able to leave or evacuate the front line or hot zone as soon as possible, the DiNelly JLTA - Joint light tactical airvehicle is equipped with the most powerful turboprop drive worldwide in its class.
